My friend has posted some adorable videos of her kiddo doing those sidewalk obstacle courses that you can draw with chalk. When I saw her video I started wondering if I could make one to reduce anxiety--so I did! :) I combined some fun movement with some typical anxiety- reducing strategies. Below is a picture of an example of how you can do one, too. The middle shows what I would draw on the side walk. The left explains the steps simply, and the right gives the reasoning behind each of the movements and how it can help with anxiety and stress. If it weren't thundering outside I'd show a real life example! Maybe this weekend :)
