We watched a video about a kiddo who was being bullied on the playground. She reported and the adult helped her figure out what to say and practice how to say it to refuse.
1st grade (except Dr. Keith's class)

**Dr. Keith's class was mostly gone so we did a bonus lesson about being brave and dealing with change. We read Bug Makes a Splash.
2nd grade

We talked about how it is none of our business what other people look like and we should not even "tease" or make jokes about anyone's size or appearance. In the video, the student reported and the adult helped him figure out what to say and practice how to say it to refuse.
4th grade
Bullying Prevention- Bystander Responsibility. We talked about our responsibility in a school community to take care of the property and the people. It might not be our job to fix it, but it is our responsibility to report unsafe situations. We watched a video about a kiddo who saw another student being bullied. The adults didn't know what was happening because he was being bullied when they weren't around and the student it was happening to wasn't able to speak up for himself. We talked about how we do not have to agree with our classmates or even like them, but we can always be respectful and do the right thing.
5th grade

We watched a video about a girl who is being bullied by another student who is giving her unwanted attention after being asked to stop and how some bystanders made the situation worse while others were helpful.
